Our nurses carry out a wide range of treatments, give advice as well as undertaking health promotion activities and are involved in diabetic, heart disease and asthma care. They carry out routine and travel immunisations and offer a full treatment room service, by appointment.
Our Nursing Assistants are specifically trained to assist the Doctors and Nurses by performing routine tests and helping in the treatment room. They also run an appointment system.

Our administrative staff perform records management tasks and help the nurses administer their clinics.
Our receptionists work shifts to cover the opening hours over both surgeries. They are usually the first point of contact. In order to help you they will sometimes need to take medical details which will be in complete confidence. They have been instructed to make these enquiries so that they can help us, help you in the most appropriate way.
Our Medical Secretaries provide a full secretarial service to the practice.
We have limited pharmacist input into the practice at the present time. She can provide help and advise regarding medicines to patients. She can be contacted by telephoning the surgery. Individual appointments can be made although at the present time there will be a long wait time for this service.
Midwives from DRI attend antenatal clinics at Glenthorne House, 52 Thorne Road, Doncaster and give general advice.

Our district nurses visit housebound patients who are unable to come to the surgery for treatment. They give help, advice and treatment of a wide range of conditions.
Our Health Visitors and Nursery nurse take a special interest in the under fives. A well baby clinic is run on a Thursday afternoons at 77 Thorne Road. A doctor is available for routine checks and the nurse is available for childhood immunisations. Please note – the baby clinic is NOT for children who you feel are ill.
